What happens during the free consult?

It's a quick, low-pressure conversation.

We'll chat for about 15 minutes, by phone or video, your choice. You can tell me a little about what's going on, ask any questions you have, and get to know me to see if we might be a good fit

You don't need to have it figured out.

'I don't really know, I just know something needs to change' is a completely valid starting point. You don't need a script. Just show up as you are.

If we're a good fit, prior to your first session, you will review and complete the initial paperwork via a client portal link emailed to you. In the first session, we will discuss important information to note (confidentiality, HIPAA, cancellation policy, session time, etc.) before moving on to further assessment of symptoms, needs, and goal development. Our primary focus in each initial session is to begin to develop therapeutic trust and comfort, as the number one indicator of progress in therapy is trust and connection with your therapist. We aim to put you first, and address your symptoms secondarily.
