Because healing doesn't always happen alone
Families are complicated. They're also where some of our most important healing happens. Family therapy gives everyone in the room a chance to be heard, and a structured, supported way to understand each other better. I work with families navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, major transitions, or the added stress of a family member's health challenges.
Is Family / Couple therapy right for you?
Family therapy works best when at least one person in the family is willing to try something different. You don't all have to agree, in fact, disagreement is often exactly where the work begins.
I work with:
Families with teens and parents in conflict · Blended families finding their footing · Families adjusting to a chronic illness or disability · Families navigating divorce or separation · Adult children and parents working through long-standing dynamics · Parents looking for support in connecting with their teen
We might work on
Communication that keeps breaking down · Parent-child conflict and disconnection · Processing a family member's diagnosis together · Building shared language around hard feelings · Navigating divorce, separation, or blended family stress · Repairing trust after a rupture · Getting everyone on the same page
Session length & format
50-minute sessions. In-person is preferred for family therapy, though telehealth is available. We'll establish shared goals at the start so everyone feels ownership over the process
My approach
I use a family systems lens, which means I look at patterns among people, not just the individual. My approach is warm, structured, and strength-based. I make sure everyone feels heard, not just the loudest voice in the room
